Online Registration

To book online please find the examination you wish to attend via the examinations page and click on the book online button.

Registering off line

Print out a registration form. On this registration form you should ensure that you state the following correctly:

  • Examination Session - the date or session for which you would like to be entered
  • Full name - Your name, exactly as you would like it to appear on your certificate
  • Address - the address to which you would like your Statement of Entry to be sent
  • Place of Instruction - the school/college at which you attend classes
  • Date of Birth
  • Signature & Date

This registration form should also be accompanied by a cheque or postal order for the specified amount (see each individual form) made payable to 'Cambridge Open Centre' for FCE, CAE and CPE exams or 'Cambridge Open Pet' for PET, KET and BEC exams. We regret that entries without an accompanying cheque (payment) will not be processed. Please ensure that your name and address are spelt clearly and correctly.

If making payments by cheque or postal order, the form should be completed and returned with the appropriate payment to:

General information for on line and off line entries

Please note that a late fee will be chargeable after the closing date. Before registering as a late entry, you must contact Cambridge Open Centre for availability and further details.

Withdrawing entries and terms of refund

After the closing date, the local fee is non-refundable.

If a candidate withdraws his or her entry on medical grounds or misses the examination for which he or she is entered because of illness, Cambridge ESOL will make a full refund of the university fee. The candidate should provide the centre with a statement from a medical practitioner. This statement should specify the medical reasons why the candidate had to withdraw his or her entry or was unable to sit the examination.

Entry fees are non-refundable unless official proof under medical or other grounds can be provided.

All requests for refunds should be submitted within four weeks of the examination date.

Fees cannot be transferred to a future session.

STATEMENTS OF ENTRY

You must ensure that you are available on all the days relating to your examination. The exam dates cannot be changed.

For FCE, CAE & CPE you will receive your statement of entry one week before the first paper (speaking). For all other exams your statement will reach you one week before the date of the exam.

PROOF OF IDENTITY

All candidates must bring their passport (or a form of identification containing at least a photograph, name and signature) and all their statement documents to every examination. Detailed instructions will be attached to your statement.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Changes of address must be reported in writing immediately, as statements of entry will be sent to the last address submitted.

The registration form should be completed and returned as soon as possible. If you have any further queries please contact the Cambridge Open Centre.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF ALL THE REQUIREMENTS AND THAT YOU ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE EXAMINATION DATES SPECIFIED.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR STATEMENT OF ENTRY AND ATTACHED DOCUMENTS AND IDENTITY DETAILS ARE BROUGHT ON EVERY EXAMINATION DATE.

TO RUN THE BEC (PRELIMINARY + VANTAGE + HIGHER) & ILEC /IFCE /TKT CAMBRIDGE OPEN NEEDS A MINIMUM OF 10 CANDIDATES FOR EACH LEVEL AT EACH SESSION.
